Gia Darcy’s TOP 4 Songs She Likes To Play Live

1. Next Life
Next Life is the perfect opener for my set. My producer and I created this intro that builds up, with the band layering in their parts until I come in. It's an upbeat, high-energy song that gets the crowd buzzing right from the start. You can feel the excitement in the room. The song is all about platonic love, which really sets the tone for the show. It’s the perfect way to welcome everyone in, giving them a mix of emotions and energy right from the start.

2. In the Next Room
In the Next Room is by far the most personal song in my set. It means so much to me because it’s about losing my grandma, Jan. Honestly, sometimes it’s hard to keep it together when I’m singing it live—it just hits me in a different way every time. The emotions are so raw, and I feel like the audience can sense that too.

3. Crash Test
Crash Test is such an anthem and the perfect break in the set after all the fast, boppy tracks. One of the most powerful feelings as a performer is hearing the crowd sing your words back, especially with a song that’s so personal. It’s intimate and emotional, so when people connect with it and scream the lyrics with me, it’s such a powerful moment. Plus, I get to really showcase my vocals in this one, which is always fun.

4. Nice Things
Nice Things is my favourite song to play live, which is why I always close every show with it. It captures that exhilarating feeling of falling for someone, and the energy in the room is electric. The vibe is so contagious—everyone’s having a great time and feeding off one another, making the performance even more special. It’s honestly one of my favourite moments because you can really feel how into it the crowd is. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the night on a high note.
